Phoenix High School was created in 1988 to be different from traditional schools and we are different in every, single thing we do at Phoenix.
Phoenix High School is open to students from all GCPS High Schools and our mission is to ensure the success of students who may be unlikely, for a variety of reasons, to reach their potential in a traditional setting.
You must be at least 16 years of age AND have attended at least one year of traditional high school.
You must be in good standing with your current high school. (i.e. You may not attend Phoenix if you are currently serving a suspension). Students, if you are currently attending an alternative school or serving a suspension from another school, you may not register for orientation while attending the alternative school or serving a suspension. Gwinnett County Board of Education Rules apply if you are suspended from school. During the term of suspension from Gwinnett County Schools you are NOT ALLOWED on any Gwinnett County School property or at any school-sponsored event.
Once enrolled at Phoenix you will not be permitted to re-enroll at your home school until either January or August.
If a student is under 18 years of age, a parent or legal guardian must accompany the student. **Students are ALWAYS required to attend registration appointments.
